Bus uncle

Bus uncle

Do you see videos such as “Bus uncle” and its copies or Chris Crocker “ Leave Britney alone” and its copies as a good addition to creative culture?

I think that the copies of this video as a good attention to creative culture. Based on the original video, the people use their own idea to create a new version in a funny way. It can encourage more creative video share with us and provoke more people develop their own interest.

Is the wide availability of such videos a good thing for society or not?

It is good for the society have different type of video. First, people can communicate with different people on this platform. Second, video uploader can share his idea about the society, such as .Third, It can encourage more people to create different interesting video, provoke our creativity because with the popularity of watching video on YouTube, youtuber need to be more creative and informative to draw the audience attention. But, if the video encourages some bad message to teenagers or children, it would harm the society and avoid these videos appear on the internet.

How many viewers are estimated to have watched the Youtube video?

I guess more than a million because of not mainly our Hong Kong people can watch it, also, the people around the world can watch the video with subtitle.

How would you rate the video?
Is it of high quality in technical terms? Is it interesting aesthetically eg camera angles, use of light, the narrative, and so on? Does it raise interesting socio-cultural issues?

I will not rate the video a high quality in technical term and not aesthetic. The quality of this video is low, we can really see the people look like. I think the video just taken by a passenger and he/she just wants to reflect the real situation the others. So, it did not consider the camera angles, use of light, but the narrative is most interesting part of the video.

Some people said that this video reflects the social issue of Hong Kong people which is heavy workload and busy lifestyle cause us stressful. It may reflect some people but not all, I think it is just a personal problem of communicating with people and the Bus uncle own ethics. It is just a small problem and the passenger already said sorry to him.

But In this video, it arouses issue of moral education in public. The video told us one person's behavior affect others. It is not a good manner in the public and the method to solve the problem. The education not only in children, it also needs to educate our adult.

Do you think it deserved the attention that it received from the internet community?

I think “Bus uncle” can’t deserved the attention. In the video, many foul and inappropriate language involved in the video, the video not suitable for children. Also, the behavior in the video not a good model for people to learn.
